DEX Development

Decentralized Exchange Development

We build decentralized exchanges with advanced market-making, concentrated liquidity, and MEV-resistant trade execution. Production-grade DEX infrastructure.

Building Trading Infrastructure for the Decentralized Economy

Decentralized exchanges are the liquidity backbone of the on-chain economy, enabling permissionless trading of any tokenized asset. Building a competitive DEX requires deep understanding of automated market making, order matching, liquidity provision incentives, and the front-running dynamics that affect on-chain trading. Arthiq develops DEX infrastructure that addresses all of these challenges.

We build both AMM-based and order book DEXs, each suited to different trading use cases. AMMs provide passive liquidity provision and constant availability, ideal for long-tail tokens and smaller trading pairs. Order book DEXs offer better price discovery and lower slippage for active trading, suitable for high-volume pairs and professional traders.

Our DEX development encompasses the complete trading stack — matching engine smart contracts, liquidity provision interfaces, trading frontends, analytics dashboards, and the indexing infrastructure that powers order books and trade history. We deliver production-ready exchanges, not prototypes.

Automated Market Maker Development

We build AMMs with multiple bonding curve models — constant product (x*y=k), stable swap curves optimized for correlated assets, and concentrated liquidity models that allow LPs to allocate capital within specific price ranges for greater capital efficiency. Each model is selected based on the asset types being traded and the target user base.

Our AMM contracts include configurable fee tiers, protocol fee collection, LP token management, and flash swap support for arbitrage and liquidation use cases. For concentrated liquidity AMMs, we implement position management with NFT-based LP tokens, fee accumulation per tick, and efficient range order execution.

We also build the LP experience — interfaces that help liquidity providers select optimal price ranges, track impermanent loss, claim accumulated fees, and manage their positions across multiple pools. Good LP tooling is essential for attracting and retaining the liquidity that makes a DEX viable.

Order Book and Hybrid Exchange Models

For professional trading use cases, we build on-chain order book DEXs that support limit orders, market orders, stop-loss orders, and advanced order types. On Solana, the high throughput enables fully on-chain order books with sub-second matching. On EVM chains, we implement hybrid models with off-chain order books and on-chain settlement.

Hybrid exchanges combine the speed of off-chain order matching with the security of on-chain settlement. Users sign orders off-chain using EIP-712, and a matching engine pairs compatible orders for on-chain execution. This model provides the trading experience of centralized exchanges with the custody guarantees of decentralized settlement.

We integrate with existing aggregator protocols like 1inch and Jupiter to ensure that your DEX's liquidity is discoverable and accessible to the broader trading ecosystem. Aggregator integration drives trading volume by routing trades to your pools when they offer the best execution.

MEV Protection and Fair Trading

Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) — including front-running, sandwich attacks, and just-in-time liquidity — degrades the trading experience for ordinary users. We implement MEV protection mechanisms including commit-reveal order schemes, batch auctions that process all orders at a uniform price, and private mempool integration that hides pending transactions from MEV bots.

Our DEX contracts include slippage protection, deadline enforcement, and minimum output guarantees that protect traders from adverse execution. For AMMs, we implement oracle-based price checks that detect and reject trades at manipulated prices.

We also design fee structures that align with fair trading — separate maker and taker fees, volume-based fee discounts, and protocol fees that fund development and governance without unfairly burdening traders.

DEX Analytics and Operations

We build comprehensive analytics infrastructure for DEX operations — real-time trading volume, liquidity depth, fee revenue, user metrics, and pool performance tracking. This data powers both public-facing dashboards and internal operational tools.

Our indexing infrastructure captures every swap, liquidity event, and order placement, providing the data layer for trade history, price charts, and portfolio tracking. We deploy subgraphs using The Graph and build custom indexers when the application requires specialized data processing.

Arthiq develops decentralized exchanges that compete on execution quality, user experience, and operational reliability. Our Singapore-based team has the DeFi depth to build trading infrastructure that handles real volume. Contact founders@arthiq.co to discuss your DEX project.

Frequently Asked Questions

AMMs are better for long-tail tokens, passive liquidity provision, and lower maintenance. Order books are better for high-volume pairs, professional trading, and tighter spreads. We can also build hybrid models that combine both approaches.
Concentrated liquidity allows LPs to allocate capital within specific price ranges rather than across the full price spectrum. This dramatically improves capital efficiency, providing deeper liquidity at relevant prices with less total capital.
We implement commit-reveal schemes, batch auctions, private mempool integration, and slippage protection. These mechanisms prevent front-running and sandwich attacks that degrade trading quality.
Ethereum and Arbitrum offer the deepest liquidity. Solana provides the throughput for on-chain order books. Base offers low costs for consumer trading. The choice depends on your target market and trading use case.
Yes, we integrate with 1inch, Jupiter, and other aggregators to ensure your DEX's liquidity is discoverable. Aggregator integration drives additional trading volume to your pools.
